EMF is pleased to announce that Darrick Dutcher, MBA, has been hired to take the General Manager seat at the main Ithaca, NY manufacturing site, as well as the Rochester, NY site.
With extensive logistics and leadership experience, including being stationed in Iraq as a US Army Captain, Dutcher previously oversaw manufacturing at ThermoFisher Scientific and, most recently, at IDEX Health & Science as the Director of Manufacturing. He is a Simon School MBA graduate and has a background in Lean Manufacturing practices and PPI-Business System methods.

He brings a proven track record of building great teams and creating business efficiencies while working in a time-sensitive, high-technology arena,” stated Mike Ransford, EVP & COO of Omega Optical Holdings. “We have some nice challenges in growing this business in the Mil/Aero, Semiconductor, and Life Science markets using our unique fleet of high volume coating machines, and his background is well suited to help the team achieve our goals.”
To wind down, Dutcher enjoys golfing in the Finger Lakes region and saltwater reef aquariums.
