QUALIFICATIONS

3-8 years experience in optical thin film processes and vacuum systems or Masters in Optics or related field and 1- 5 years of experience as above.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Process design and optimization

Problem identification and solving

Project management

Customer relations

Teaching/training

Presentation/communication

Autocad or similar drafting software

Optical thin film design experience (TFCalc or similar)

Thin film characterization

 

Travel:   Some Travel Required up to 10%

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Optics, physics, materials science or related science/engineering field

3-8 years experience in optical thin film processes and vacuum systems or Masters in Optics or related field and 1- 5 years of experience as above.

 

Give examples of quantifiable results in revenue generation, quality improvement, and cost reductions.

Describe your depth of optical coating experience.

This person had an invincible drive for success through personal accomplishment.  Person must possess a demonstrated track record of quantifiable results in new business generation and revenue growth in the optical coating market.  Must be able to utilize customer service and technical capability as key drivers for business growth.  Adept at assimilating technical information, s/he seeks out new business with compelling strategic rationale that provides long term tactical results.  Her/his experience in other technical sales situations has sharpened her/his consultative selling skills, while her/his communication skills are of the highest standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Has sold optical thin films

Trade show participation

Account management

Has substantially grown a customer base for an optical coating company

Heavy travel schedule required

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Technical, consultative selling

Knowledge of optical principles

Relationship selling

Demonstrated rapport builder with customers

Account development

3-5 years experience in optical coatings

 

Travel:   Significant Travel Required up to 50%

Education Requirements:

Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or other engineering discipline

Give examples of quantifiable results in new business generation and revenue growth in the optical coating market.

Give examples of your technical sales experience.

Relocation to Ithaca is not a requirement.

Ability to travel greater than 50% of the time.
